FINANCIAL AID


 

At Shear Ego International School of Hair Design we strive to maintain academic excellence technically, artistically and professionally in all aspects of hairdressing, barbering, skin care, and nail care. This passion for excellence is also found in our zeal to equip our students with the necessary financial tools and resources to help them succeed. 

 

Financial aid is available to those who qualify.  For more information related to these financial options, please refer to the list below:

 

 Federal Pell Grants

 To ascertain your eligibility for the Pell Grant program, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using our school code of: 026166

 

Quick information on Pell grants:

  •  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid
  • The maximum Pell Grant for the 2010-11 award year (July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011) is $5, 550
  • The amount depends on your financial need, costs to attend school, status as a full-time or part-time student, and plans to attend school for a full academic year or less

Eligibility:

  • must have financial need
  • must be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or an eligible non-citizen
  • must have a valid social security number
  • must have a High School Diploma or GED; or be pass an approved Ability to Benefit test or have been home schooled
  • are registered with the U.S Selective Service (if you are a male between the ages of 18 to 25)
  • certify by signing a FAFSA that you will use any federal student loans awarded to you soley for educational purposes
  • certify by signing a FAFSA that you are not in default of any federal student loan and that you do not owe a repayment of any student aid grant

   

Additional Funding Sources: 

Shear Ego International works with several third party financing companies that offer loans to qualified students.  For students who do not qualify, we also offer a No Interest Payment Plan option.

Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID)
